By customer request, this tray is custom-designed to accommodate the Sunex 3342 3/8" metric & SAE socket set, including the swivel and 3" extension. As a reminder, each of our Mountaineer Maker system socket trays is universal in shape and design, which allows them to not only fit the Milwaukee Packout organizers but also the Packout drawers, Bauer drawers, and soon, the Klein ModBox storage boxes. Keep in mind that that these other storage units require custom adaptors which are available in our store or by request.

⚠️ IMPORTANT — MANUFACTURING ORIGIN NOTE:
Sunex recently moved production of the 3342 set from Taiwan to China. Socket dimensions have changed as a result of this manufacturing shift. This tray was designed and sized specifically for the TAIWAN-manufactured Sunex 3342 set. If you own the newer CHINA-manufactured version, the socket dimensions may differ, and the sockets may not fit correctly.

How to identify your set: Check the individual socket markings — Taiwan-manufactured sockets are stamped "TAIWAN" on the socket body. China-manufactured sockets will not carry this marking. If you are unsure which version you own, message me before ordering, and I will help you confirm fit.

Note on open-bottom pockets: Some larger sockets require a pocket that goes through the tray floor — the socket diameter exactly matches the pocket width. This is intentional precision engineering, not a defect. The socket is fully retained on the sides.
