Details

Print the organizer yourself. This is the 3D print file for our GearWrench metric deep impact socket organizer insert: the 29 metric deep sockets of the GearWrench 89072 1/2" drive impact set, 8mm to 36mm, 6-point, each standing in its own pocket, in size order with the largest at the front, plus a support lid with a label at every hole.

DIGITAL FILE ONLY
You receive a ZIP download right after purchase. Sockets, organizer and toolbox are not included, and nothing is shipped.

WHAT YOU'LL RECEIVE
- One 3MF file: the support lid with its body and labels already set up as one two-color object
- Three STL files: the organizer base, the support lid, and the lid's labels already in place for a second color
- A Start-here card linking to our print instructions: recommended settings, plus how to split the organizer with your slicer's cut tool (Creality Print, Bambu Studio, Orca Slicer) if your bed is smaller than about 300 × 200 mm
- The license: the Mountaineer Maker Digital Product License (v1.0) as a PDF

FITS
✔ Milwaukee Packout deep organizers 48-22-8430 and 48-22-8435: drops straight in, no spacer, and the lid holds the sockets in place
✔ Standard tool chest drawers: drops straight in
The organizer nests on our other organizers and drawer adapters.

⚠ NOT UNIVERSAL: pockets are cut to GearWrench's 89072 1/2" metric deep impact sockets, from caliper measurements of the actual set. Standard-length sockets, SAE sockets, or sockets from another set or brand may not seat correctly. Message us before buying if you're unsure.

PRINTER REQUIREMENTS
- Two parts, each printed in one piece: the base (293 × 193 mm) and the support lid. Your bed must be at least about 300 × 200 mm. They don't fit 256 × 256 mm beds in one piece.
- Smaller bed? Your slicer can cut the organizer to fit. See the step-by-step print instructions for Creality Print, Bambu Studio and Orca Slicer.
- No supports needed: print each part as it loads, flat side down
- Designed and tested on a Creality K2 Plus; we print ours in PETG

TWO-COLOR LABELS
- The base's size labels are part of the base, in one color. The support lid carries the two-color labels.
- Easiest: open the 3MF. Lid body and labels are already one object on two filaments; pick your two colors.
- With the STLs: import the support lid and its labels file together and load them as one object with multiple parts, without re-arranging, so every label stays in its place. Give the labels part your second filament.
- One color only? Leave both parts on the same filament.

LICENSE
Personal use under the Mountaineer Maker Digital Product License (v1.0). You may print it for yourself and give prints as personal gifts; selling prints or sharing the file needs a commercial license or written permission.

Good to know

  • Insert only — adapters, storage trays, tools and toolbox are not included.
  • Visible layer lines are normal. They’re part of how every organizer is printed, and they don’t affect fit or function.
  • Color may vary slightly from the photos, due to monitor settings and material batches.
  • Some socket slots may extend to the bottom of the organizer, depending on the geometry of the sockets. That’s a normal part of the engineered design, not a defect.

Compatibility
